Mr. Roman is such an easy-going, approachable teacher. This course was well-organized, produced, and delivered. For the final module, I would've liked to see some notes on the contracts, and although I have done my own research - I would have also appreciated a module on equipment breakdown and suggestions for each based on performability and price range.
Overall a great course that made me feel confident re-entering the wedding market.

If you're like me, you've done your endless googling and research on Youtube. You've likely even shot a handful of weddings. You know enough to not completely waste the time and money of your clients but you don't know the finer points that can really set you apart from other local shooters. Seeing how a big ticket wedding filmmaker approaches the same problems us novices deal with is more than worth the price of admission.
You will definitely walk away with the confidence to do more and really just unlock the potential you knew you had all along. You wouldn't be here or trying this wedding filmmaking stuff if that wasn't the case.
My 2021/2020 bookings just got an upgrade in quality and they don't even know it yet.

I ended up giving it a five after reviewing the shared pricing guide and contract.
Diving deeper with more specifics on editing and the depth of field choice used for specific shots throughout would have been helpful. I'm still curious about the color grading and editing techniques utilized to achieve the final footage.
All in all it is a good course to quickly elevate our game.

Ray has a right-to-the-point way of teaching things. He does a really great job of explaining why he shoots the way he shoots as well. As an experienced wedding filmmaker, education is one of the best investments you can make, no matter how good you think you are, there will always be room for improvement. There's parts of the course that make you say "ah-ha!" and answers something you have been trying to figure out. One of the most applicable and practical courses I’ve ever experienced. Ray took the time to literally walk through what he does on a wedding day in many different situations (bride and groom prep, first look, ceremony and reception).
Lens choices, lighting techniques, composition ideas, working with other vendors, it’s all in there. He even shares his audio set up for capturing dialogue. He also interviews a high end DJ and a couple of planners to get insight on what they look for in the wedding filmmakers they like to work with.
Ever wondered how to maybe improve how you cover a ceremony, or the first look? Ray shares his strategy through interactive graphical representations of the movements of him and his team during these moments and more.
If you’re serious about improving in the wedding filmmaking industry and want to start charging more money, I’m not sure how you can justify not purchasing this class.

I just finished watching the class and it was fabulous! It was so packed with good information that I kept finding myself rewinding the movies over and over again to catch little things I missed. Honestly the production value of the class was light years ahead of the numerous other courses I have purchased over the years from other larger online resources for creatives.
Ray is totally different from some of the instructors of those other non-MZed courses who can tend to speak in a manner that seems to project the idea that we should be thankful they are sharing their knowledge with us. Ray communicates with you on your level. It's almost unbelievable he's so down to earth and at ease in doing so considering that he's one of the best wedding day filmmakers in the world.
This course is very applicable to all wedding day filmmakers no matter where you are in your wedding day filming career. Though geared for filmmakers seeking to shoot high-end events, there is something here for everyone seeking to take their game up a notch.
If you are currently filming in the low to mid-range, this course is full of valuable information for you. Even if you are already into the higher range, if you pick up even one or two new ideas, it is still well worth the money.
Ray's pacing throughout the course if perfect. He provides all the information necessary, but with no fluff. Ray not only tells you what to do in each circumstance, but also provides the why and the how to accomplish each goal.
The cost of the course is absolutely money well spent.

I loved the course, it's very inspirational just looking at all these amazing work Roman produced and shows throughout the course. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that I would like to have a bit more precise details in the basics especially about the settings on camera, where he starts to make twitches from there. But overall a great course that I can highly recommend.

This course is really great but I can't give that extra half star.
The post-production step was not detailed, of course we don"t want to learn Premiere/FinalCut/DaVinci but discover the process behind a good edit, how to get the best with sound, sync, and your footage.
With that, it would be an even greater course.

Really really loved this course. Ray is clearly an expert in this field and I left with many many take aways that I will be applying to my wedding videography.
Giving four and a half stars just because there were a few moments that left we wanting more...like learning how to mic a bride (which I ended up youtubing), understanding his post production workflow (how do you organize, set up your timelines, label. ect...), or even a deep dive into which gear he recommends. I left trying to figure out which slider he used.
All in all, a great course with TONS of knowledge and takeaways. Thanks so much Ray!

It's a great course. I am totally new to wedding films, so this was super helpful. Totally worth the investment. But one point where it totally missed the mark is post production workflow. As someone who is totally new, the post-production workflow would have helped tremendously. That would have given this course 10 stars.
But, I would still recommend it strongly to anyone looking to learn wedding filmmaking.

It's great course with a wonderful wedding videographer but for me the chapter about postproduction is poor with zero technical information. It's only couple of wedding video and talking about music but where is leason about colorizing. I would like know more about lightning, more deep technical informations not only base knowledge. Anyway thank you for this course and great job.
